1. Who We Are

Vocalist is a vocal training platform owned and operated by Lamarde Limited, a company registered in Cyprus. We provide interactive voice lessons, real-time feedback, and a community space where users can publish performances. This Privacy Policy applies whenever you use our mobile applications, future Android release, web-to-app experience, or communicate with us.

2. Scope & Acceptance

By creating an account, accessing any Vocalist product, or otherwise interacting with us, you acknowledge that this Privacy Policy governs our data practices. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. Separate privacy notices may apply to beta programs or region-specific features; we will tell you about those before you join.

3. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of personal data needed to run Vocalist and keep it secure.

Information you provide

  • Account details: Email address and password (or single sign-on credentials) used to create and secure your account.
  • Profile and content: Display name, avatar, and any songs, audio recordings, or comments you choose to publish.
  • Support communications: Messages you send to our Facebook support page or email inbox, including attachments.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: In-app actions, feature engagement, session duration, and progression through lessons.
  • Device and technical data: Device model, operating system, unique identifiers, language, approximate location based on IP, crash logs, and diagnostic information.

Analytics and measurement partners

We use third-party analytics services—Amplitude, Apphud, and Adjust—to understand how Vocalist is performing. These partners set cookies, SDKs, or similar technologies to collect usage data and may receive device identifiers in order to provide aggregated reports. They are contractually bound to act as processors on our behalf.

Payment processing

When you subscribe on iOS, Android, or our web-to-app experience, all payment details are handled directly by Apple, Google, or Paddle.com. We never see or store your full payment card number or banking details. We may receive limited transaction metadata (e.g., subscription status, renewal date) so we can manage your benefits.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide, personalize, and improve Vocalist features, lesson plans, and recommendations.
  • Deliver account services such as authentication, subscription management, and progression syncing across devices.
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities to enhance performance and fix bugs.
  • Communicate with you regarding updates, support requests, service announcements, security alerts, and marketing messages (where permitted).
  • Protect our community by investigating suspicious activity, preventing fraud, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Community visibility: Songs or profile details you publish may be visible to other Vocalist users and, where applicable, publicly accessible.
  • Business transfers: If Lamarde Limited undergoes a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, we may transfer your data to the successor entity subject to this policy.
  • Legal reasons: When required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lamarde Limited, our users, or others.

7. Retention & Storage

We retain account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account or request erasure, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable timeframe, unless we must retain certain records for legal, tax, or security reasons. Aggregated analytics and crash data may be kept up to 24 months to observe historical trends.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including encryption in transit, restricted employee access on a need-to-know basis, and routine vulnerability monitoring of our infrastructure. Despite our efforts, no online service can guarantee absolute security, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and notify us immediately of any suspicious activity.

You remain responsible for the legality of what you share, and you can delete your contributions at any time from within the app or by contacting us.

11. International Data Transfers

We operate globally, which may require transferring and storing your information outside your home country, including in the European Union and the United States. When we transfer data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on approved safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other legal mechanisms to protect your personal data.
